My first sewing machine!

Diana Rupp recommended the Kenmore 19110, since they’re made by Janome (but more affordable!).  So when it went on sale for $199.99 (normal retail $299.99) on Sears.com, I decided to go for it.  Plus, I found a $10 coupon on Retailmenot.com (where I always go to check for extra savings!)

I had been debating whether I should spend more money and invest in a Bernina or Pfaff, but I decided that the Kenmore was a good machine to learn on.  And according to the reviews (on Sears.com and PatternReview.com), it seems pretty sturdy.
